comments:Thanks to Gil Beadle for the photo below, received Thursday night with the following report:
"Hi Lee ,
Thought you might enjoy feed back...had a good day on the Kaituna river: 6 fish, these 3 all over 4lb in good condition and caught on your BH O/woolly bugger. Others small and on rabbit and ph/tail.
Cheers
Gil

I made a few biteless casts Thursday evening, without wading, into the lower Tongariro,
and will try again soon.
The excavating machinery working near the Swirl-to-Bain Pool area was loaded onto its trailer and driven away before noon today, so the work has ended, at least temporarily.
And a 'recreational release' of water into the Tongariro is scheduled for Saturday 04 February 2012.
superfly.co.nz now has 420 patterns of trout flies tied on Kamasan, Mustad, and Tiemco hooks.
The
Silicone Smelt,
Loves Lure,
Baby Mouse, and
Zonker Mouse
were added on 11 January, and the
Silicone Smelt
were sold out when local anglers saw them, and bought them all.
